About NSW Transport State Transit

The State Transit Authority of New South Wales is responsible for the operations of Sydney Buses and Newcastle Buses and Ferries. Sydney Buses operates over 2,200 buses, in excess of 99,000 services per week on more than 300 regular routes across the Sydney Newcastle metropolitan areas.

  • New IP-based management system, allowed more manageable and efficient deployment of operational control room resources and management of radio channels
  • Design, manufacture and retro-fit of PA boards and speakers into more than 2,000 buses without any service downtime to the fleet
  • System feature upgrade that enables broadcast PA calls to the buses from the control rooms
