Simoco Wireless Solutions to unveil new technology in partnership with RACOM at IWCE 2018

Simoco and Racom PartnershipSimoco Wireless Solutions will be unveiling its latest data communication technologies delivered exclusively into North America in partnership with leading communications equipment manufacturer RACOM at the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) 2018 in Orlando this March.

The partnership, which was announced last year, has seen Simoco Wireless Solutions introduce a range of radio equipment designed for transmitting data across large areas. They include:

  • The Simoco Xm mesh radio technology - An Ethernet radio network designed especially for data communications, which can be used to extend existing networks, and can be rapidly deployed and scaled to meet current and future requirements.
  • Cellular routers – Designed to fulfil SCADA and telemetry requirements, the Simoco’s cellular routers can be used in conjunction with the Simoco Xm Ethernet radio to combine LTE – 4G/3G and UHF/VHF licensed radio in a single network.
  • Microwave communication technologies – Simoco’s new range of microwave solutions are especially useful in remote and outdoor locations where more traditional data communication infrastructure such as copper or fibre is not available.

Together with Simoco’s Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) telemetry solution, Simoco Pulse, the new technologies are designed to help companies where fast and reliable exchanges of information across multiple sites form an essential part of day to day operations. This includes organisations in the energy and utilities sector, the transport industry, healthcare, ISP, national and local government infrastructure and the emergency services.

Chief Sales Officer at Simoco Wireless Solutions, Andy Woodhall, said: “The partnership with RACOM has been a great step forward for our company over the last 12 months. Our new technology is designed to ensure our customers are able to manage data communications across their organisations, no matter what their requirements. Communications infrastructure can vary widely and so by providing a rich range of options we are confident we can help organisations with a wide number of scenarios and applications.”

Vice President for Sales at RACOM, Mark Sutton, said: “Simoco has a rich heritage in providing mission critical communications infrastructure and with data communications becoming increasingly important to a range of organisations we believe our combined expertise, including RACOM’s experience of SCADA & Telemetry technology, has resulted in a partnership that can help businesses from a range of sectors.”
